Irrational Numbers

Pi (\Pi)

Pi is one of those numbers that never end which is called an Irrational number. Now what is the history of pi and what it’s use?

One of the most enduring challenges in maths was how to find the ratio of the circumference to the diameter but when William Jones was the first to invent pi in 1706 it was much easier.

Pi is equivalent to 3.141592653589… and so on.

Pi is used for many things like to find the area of a circle. The next page which is ,More About Pi, talks about how to use and parts of a circle.
